Well despite the tales of doom about the torrential rain it stopped in time for the start so no getting wet for me.
What a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning. Running with my friend along traffic free streets watching the tide go out and the skies clear. Well that was the first half then we turned round into the wind! Bit tough but the spectators and Marshals kept me going. By this time I was on my own. That was fine it was part of the plan. My friend is much younger and has more stamina so on I plodded jeffing 60:30all the way. Then I was in the home straight and there she appeared again and ran to the finish with me. What a star. Then I saw my daughter and grandchildren and couldn’t keep the smile off my face. I did it and in under 90 minutes which was always the goal. 1.28.52 I can live with. I didn’t get wet I loved every moment even though it was hard and I will do it again next year. Plus I got bling which was unexpected. 😊🏃🏻♀️🏅
