JuJus magic plan - anyone else just starting

I haven’t used Healthunlocked for some time but decided I need some accountability. I started the plan yesterday and did 5.5km and I’m wondering if anyone else is starting this week. I did C25k but for various reasons didn’t get to 10. I have been a fair weather runner in the past but I’m determined that the weather won’t stop me and I’ve bought warm wet weather gear now. I’m hoping there are others that will keep me accountable.

You’ll more than likely end up enjoying running in the cooler weather once you get moving. The first few minutes are often a bit grim, but you’ll soon warm up - so good for you getting yourself prepared for the fantastic Magic 10. We’ll definitely help keep you accountable Nannymo! 👍🏃‍♀️😀

Now you’ve said it I am sure you’ll do it Nannymo30. It’s a great plan. Have fun mixing your runs up a bit.

I did the first week of the Magic Plan last week and have just finished the second run of week 2. I missed what the Strava lady said but I think I did 5k in just under 30 mins which would definitely be a pb.

Like you, Nannymo, I did C25K starting earlier this year. First time I have ever done any running in my 66 years and graduated in April I think. Didn't really do much over the summer because of other mainly family commitments and decided to try the Magic Plan for a bit of structure in my running. May see if there's a 10k run locally (North Devon) in the spring I could do.

Keep in touch because I suspect when the rain and the cold comes I will definitely need some encouragement to keep going!

5k in 30 minutes is amazing!!! It takes me 45 minutes. I did the second run for the first week today and my average time was 8.56 a km. Will definitely keep in touch, I know I will need encouragement too. 😊

I am on week 6 of Juju. It’s a great plan and hopefully you enjoy it too. I look forward to the short runs, I surprise myself on the long runs and I make the 5K run a parkrun which make a nice change.

Life is good when running!
