Well I attended the fracture clinic yesterday and the doc said yes! I can run again and my foot is fine. Can't tell you how happy I felt, hearing that news.
Would just like to thank all of you out there who have cheered me on and cheered me up over the last 12 weeks when I felt hopeless on the IC. And I'd like to encourage everyone who is still on the IC - hopefully you will get there too.
Had a little run on a treadmill at the gym today and it felt great.
Thank you. You kept me going and made sure I didn't give up. πππππβ€

Thank you so much. I will be careful about getting back out there. Planning to do C25K again as a controlled way to build up the running again. ππ
So pleased for you. Unfortunately the IC is something many of us have experienced as runners so we know how awful it can be not to be able to run. No need to say βenjoy your runningβ but take it slowly to build up again πββοΈππ
Thank you! It seems so long since I last had a run - no doubt I will have lost fitness and form, but I'm hoping that C25K will be easier the second time around. Will definitely be taking it slowly! πππββοΈ
Thank you - it was good news. The foot feels absolutely fine but you never know what the medics are going to say. Now I can try out all that new gear I've been buying in Decathlon whilst on the IC! π€£π€£πββοΈ
Thank you Jonathan! I am chafing at the bit, but mindful that I will probably need to build up gradually, so C25K is a great way to do it. πππββοΈ
Yay π go you ππ I too started again this week and weirdly my legs remembered what to do and I managed to do 4K ππ so weird how addictive this running lark is!!
Thanks! And well done you - 4K straight off is fantastic! I'm being a bit cautious because I really don't want to injure the foot again, but I did a Week 4 run on the treadmill and it felt fine. Haven't lost all my fitness thankfully. And doesn't it feel fine to be running again?! ππͺππππββοΈ
