Hello everyone. I’m finally of the IC and back from holiday and today I’ve been out and done a run. The first for 3 weeks due to groin strain and all felt good. I’ve been advised to train in zone 2 mostly and HIIT training.

Just wondering how I get back to 10k for my first run on the 8th of September. Do I just not worry see how it goes?

Glad you're feeling better after injury and managed to run. Now I've never ran 10k, but do you think you would be asking too much of yourself as 8th of September is only a few weeks away. 😊

You'll be fine. Just don't go out expecting a fast time.

Take it easy and listen to the advice of your physio. Don’t be afraid to pull up during the race or pull out if it doesn’t feel good - there will be plenty of other races, but going back on to the injury couch will be no fun. Good luck!

I bet! I whent for a bike ride on my normal rout this morning as that fine for my calf.

I came off slightly on a big tree rout and the peddle bashed me in my already sore calf - I'm having a run of bad luck :P
