It was rather chilly and raining this morning so I dug out my fluorescent pink lightweight waterproof running jacket to put over my short sleeved t-shirt. Just the job! Sisters with Blisters playlist on Spotify and off I went. Anyway, not a particularly eventful run, but a time of 1:23 (6.54 av) compared with my first 12k run, which was on the exact same route, of 1:26 (7.10 av). Felt better than last week’s 10k too. Happy running peeps 🏃♀️🏃🏻♂️🏃♀️🏃🏻♂️

Thanks Cheeky. I’ve put my predicted time as 1:50, which is about 7 mins per km. Nearly all my normal runs are between 6.45 and 7.15, so am hoping it will be doable 🤞
Thanks Katnap! Doesn’t seem to matter what I do, I always end up roughly at this pace. It feels comfortable for legs and lungs, which is the main thing 😀
That is a good pace Sandie, that’s one of my favourite training paces too. As for the weather, does anyone know what it is doing at the moment? It can’t decide if it’s autumn or high summer here 🤔
I’m seriously thinking of flicking the heating on for an hour I am so cold. Still managed to arrive home this morning though like a sweaty tomato, albeit with soaking wet hair!
Yep, did that Saturday! Then yesterday I threw water over myself during the run I got so warm followed by wearing little kitten’s fleece jacket I got so cold. It’s that annoying in between stage 🥵🥶
Well done on that speedy 12k Sandie. You'll be well ahead of me at the GSR too. You can keep Stanley company waiting for me and cheekychipmunks . Yep I put the heating on for an hour last night too.
What an amazing pace... I'm still working on getting to 5k regularly, and have to go VERY slowly to get my achilles fitter! So I've gone from a 'best' pace of 7:30 down to 10... but at least I am still running!
It’s taken me 18 months from starting C25K to get here and no injuries thank goodness. As the lovely Oldfloss would say “slow and steady” and you’ll get there. Main thing is you are still running 🏃♀️😊
