Well.....I’ve done 10k!! Just got back from the above event and feeling proper chuffed. In May, I was undergoing chemotherapy and pretty down, I had a stern word with myself and restarted couch25k (again...3rd time now) then consolidated for a couple of weeks, then stepped up the distance.
Today I achieved my aim...running 10k non stop, not fast (1hr 17mins) but I’m happy with that! Lovely people and great marshals.
Happy running my friends!

Congratulations: that’s a great time and clearly such a journey for you. I think Oldfloss was running in that event, too: she was very excited about it!
I’m glad that you are back to running again after your treatment. Well done on your Spitfire 10k. I love 77 minutes because that was the time of my first 2 10k runs.
