It’s almost my 1st year runversary and since graduating C25K in December I also did Ju-Ju’s bridge to 10k. I’ve only been running outside for a couple of months but really love it and wish I’d listened to everyone and got outside sooner.
I’ve signed up for the great pink run 10k in October so figured I’d better tackle a park run as it covers some of the same course. I actually found it a lot tougher than I was expecting, there’s quite a steep part that you tackle 3 times so my legs are sore this evening. I managed to get round in 0:34:25 and came 186 out of 221 so I didn’t finish last 😂. I should be able to improve on that time now I know what I’m doing 😄
Chilling now with my feet up and a glass of wine

Congratulations on completing your first 5k Parkrun in a very good time of 34.25, round about the same time as my first 5k and first parkrun, you deserve that nice glass of wine. Earlier this week I graduated to Graduate10 and celebrated today by buying a nice box of chocolates. 😊, however, I did not buy any wine 🍷.
Well done! You beat me - I only managed 36 minutes.
The thing is, there was a huge build - up at the front, and being a newly I hung back a bit before setting off! But who cares - we did it, that's what matters!
Well done e-beans, I'm very much a solo runner so can understand your trepidation...well done on getting out there! You need to find a Parkrun with a nice flat route for next time 😉
