Aldeburgh sea front...

This morning at 06:45. I actually got up and ran along the frontage, and it was lovely. Moreover, it was flat, flat, flat and therefore (relatively) speedy so I can tick it off as a pb for pace as well. With no extra effort. Win, win for a tortoise. And an aim achieved, as we come here fairly frequently and I’ve long thought “nice place for a jog.”

Happy holiday running, folks.

Great running and what a place to be able to visit for a run looks great. Well done you 😊😊

😄 That tiny blob on the shingle is the famous Maggie Hambling scallop shell sculpture. Lovely watching the early light change on it.

Oh how lovely! And I love Aldeburgh. Was there in July whilst visiting my dad in Norfolk. Lovely and flat for running! Enjoy your hols. x

Thank you. We love it here & are lucky to have friends who live here. But it’s pretty crowded later in the day! Still got that summer hols atmosphere.

Ah, lovely! Great to see Aldeburgh. I used to spend a lot of time there, and loved it! Glad you enjoyed your sea front run.

It’s a lovely spot. We’re visiting friends but staying at a B&B right on the frontage. Gorgeous views. 🎉

It was lovely watching the light rise over the shingle. Not used to have the sea in the east! 😄

Great effort Granspeed. Why does it seem so much easier to get up early on holiday? You have earned an enormous brunch! 😋😋

Yes, it was a bit bracing at the moment when I came out the door! Later, the sun came out and the wind dropped and it was all dazzling and scorching on the shingle. 🌞😎 Then I was glad I’d made the early effort. Suits my OH better too if he snoozes through the bracing bit and joins in for the sun....
