I got up late and really shouldn’t have run at lunchtime as it’s very warm today, but I won’t have time later.
I found a short loop which made a good route for hot days: just short of 1km in a triangle. I ran two long sides as one was a shady path following a disused railway track, and one was sunny but a steady downhill. I then walked the short side, a sunny steeper uphill to get to the railway path again.
I took iced water with me (some ended up on my head). I did four loops a bit like intervals and now I’m home again with more iced water and a lolly in a shady and breezy patch of garden.
I’m glad I found a solution for warm days but next time I’ll try to get up earlier!!
Stay safe and hydrated x

Well done on finding that solution....I, on the other hand, find an excuse!! Not to go...I am actually rubbish in the heat....give me a sunbed, beach, sea...anything in the sun, but give me my trainers and I fail miserably...I just can't do it....this last week has been pants for me, I am, hopefully, getting out early ish tomorrow, the 6 week hols has made my routine go to pot but I'm out with a vengeance when they go back, whatever the weather x
I’ve struggled with the holidays too: plus I had a two week stretch of work in the middle doing admissions for a level results so didn’t have time then! Looking forward to a bit of routine again
