Starting to revisit 'old friends'!πŸ™‚πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Have been taking two rest days after runs recently, as I felt that would suit my leg better following my long 'sojourn' on the ic. However, I have felt good since my Sunday run so decided to get out again this afternoon. Warm and sunny out but the most beautiful breeze! I ran up on the old railway line (again!) where it was shady too. Covered 3.5k last time but ran about 4.5k today and feel good on return.πŸ™‚ If all feels well tomorrow, I will aim to do my favourite 5k circuit next time I go out (Thursday). The route takes me through a lovely area of woodland and I already feel a bit emotional thinking about it as it's ages since I have run there! Gosh, I have missed some of my running places - they feel like old friends and I am starting to look forward to seeing them all again! πŸ™‚ Fingers crossed!

I totally know what you mean. Even the music on my ipod can bring with it feelings of running nostalgia :)

I so get this. The first time I went out after a long absence and came to one of my favourite bits I got quite emotional and actually said out loud, "I've missed you". There was no one around but me and some trees πŸ™‚

It's all going great Sandra. Enjoy your run tomorrow.

Let's hope there's no one around tomorrow, in case I start talking out loud too! πŸ˜€
