What a beautiful morning! I headed out just after 8 oβclock, which is quite early for me as I usually either run after work during the week or later in the morning at the weekend (after my well-earned lie-inπ!)
With the weather forecast looking so warm βοΈ today though, I was up earlier for my usual breakfast of porridge π₯£ with mixed fruit and almonds (yum!)
Work has been really busy this week and Iβve been finding it hard to switch offπ€―, so the chance to head out on to my beloved trails and the local Downslink Bridleway was just what I needed.π I ran around fields of long grass, navigated my way through the overgrown brambles and nettles slowly swallowing up the narrower footpaths at this time of year and found the cool, shady track of the old railway line, always so reassuring and familiar despite the ever changing scenery of the seasons.
The photo above is one small area where someone has thought to sew poppy seeds for those of us passing through and they were beautiful and so appreciated!π
It was warm of course, so this run wasnβt about pace or time (thank goodness!π€βοΈ) and it was tough in places in the sunshine βοΈ but as far as those post-run feelings goβ¦it was one of the best!π
