All I needed was a tempo run and a bit of Paul Simon.
Wind back to start and the duvet gremlins started their grumbling so I left them playing with Willow and headed out the door.
It was a 7 minute warm up which I decided to take at a brisk walk rather than a slow run I know if I warm up with a slow easy effort run I’ll never get any faster I’ll just plod along.
The warm up got me to the bottom of the railway bridge and a fastest time over the bridge,
The rest of the run passed in a blur of “keep up the effort, don’t drop back to my easy pace” think i’ve gone far enough so turn and run back again. The bridge almost defeated me on the way back but of course this is the one I used to have to walk over, yup there was a step or two of walking near the top and weeeee run down the other side.
Coach is counting down the minutes and almost home,
That was lovely 😊 even though i might regret it later when I’m at work but I wanted to get out.
I’m going to London tomorrow and hoping I can run while there, back Tuesday so it might be pushing it.
Happy run everyone, rest well if you can’t run and wave July goodbye 👋 with a smile, each month brings more adventures see you in August
