VRB’s Meet Up At Marple

Thank you Baddiethepirate and Runningroni for making this possible today, never thought I would ever get to meet VRB’s and I was so excited I could hardly sleep. Runningroni had brought some badges for us which were brilliant and read KEEP CALM and RUN AWAY. Perfect! and Deals1 your poppies got an outing too. RunaroundSue was tailwalking today, so it was a bonus meeting her and Mr RaS. Beautiful morning in Marple and what a lovely park to run in. Runningroni got a PB and when I got to the finish Baddie came and ran the last few yards with me. Off to the cafe then for breakfast, by now sweaty and tomato red, but strangely it didn’t matter and hand over heart thats the best omelette I’ve ever had.

Lovely photo of all of you lexi6, I recognised Sue and Baddie, now I have seen you. I am sure you all enjoyed your first parkrun in the UK this morning, been fairly warm for running, the weather people say next weekend will be a little cooler, that means it should be a bit better for running. 😊 🏃

Thanks AlMorr, it was just a lovely morning and the weather beats winter in New Zealand right now. Had a video call with daughter and granddaughter and dogs the other night (who completely snubbed us by the way) and it was a minus 2 degree morning and froze the pipes. You did well at your parkrun this morning. 👍

Thanks Lexi, - 2C will come soon enough to the UK, where I live in Scotland even on a clear frosty morning in October I have known it to be that temperature or less.

Thanks BBr it was magical and such a lovely atmosphere. Ran the French croissants off and after only one run in 3 weeks, was very happy that my legs hadn’t forgotten how. Runningroni told me where a park is near where we’re staying, so will be nice to get another run in soon. 🥰🥰❤️ XX

ThanksUnfitNoMore, it was brilliant. Heading further north in just over a weekbut will be heading back and down to Wilmslow for a week and purely by accident (Not) where we are staying is 5 minutes warm up walk from Wilmslow park run 21 September - just saying. 😃

Thanks IP it was just magic. Had my priorities sorted when packing to come here. 2pr jeans, but 5 pair of capris in various shades of bright and 2pr running shoes. 👍😂

Thanks Dexy it was a fabulous, lovely day and our capris were certainly cheerful. Looking forward to Boston with Sandi next, but feel the need for some new running shoes first 😀 Me and Mr L just having a lovely time, very, very happy.

Anyway that's neither here or there. I had a brilliant morning with friends.

And having to vary the route a bit to make sure one of my friends could tick something off a wish list was not a big deal.
