Hi SeeJillRun - a bit of a sore point (literally) nope Colly is sadly not a runner, although he was for a short while. We started together - I followed C25K and Colly did his own thing, but Colly's knees quickly became a problem and a couple of scans later it appears the cartilage has worn through to bone, and at 60 he is still considered too young for knee replacements ..... Colly being his usual stoic self armed himself with two walking poles and now sets off with me at Ashridge. I generally overtake (after I have completed my slower warm up walk) and then when I slow down on the uppy bits (much to my annoyance ) Colly sometimes catches up and overtakes me , but then I usually end up overtaking Colly again (much to Colly's annoyance ) but he is never too far behind by the time we get to the Bridgewater Omelette, sorry Obelisk! Not the tortoise and the hare, but slow and steady generally wins the day! By the way, I seem to recall you sporting a very humorous t shirt - will post a piccy of me sporting mine (designed by moi) if can find out how to do it, purchased from Vistaprint and worn with pride I might add most runs! Move date for mum just confirmed, next Wednesday xSP

Ah bless him, it’s not very good that he can’t get knee replacements yet but at least he’s still getting out n about with you
