Run in the rain

Enjoyed my run in the rain despite both Strava and Map my Run giving up before I did! Really annoying as I don’t really know what my distance and time was..tried a couple of times to restart both but they were having none of it. 😂

Luckily I have a Fitbit which at least counted my steps and overall time.

Anyone else have problems with either of these apps??

🏃‍♀️

It is possible that water may have got into your phone causing those problems, nevertheless a good run for you today Anna.

Morning Alan,

Yeah that is possible I suppose, although you’d have thought Spotify app would also have stopped. Strange, anyways I was thinking had they both been working I wouldn’t have ran for so long. 🏃🏻‍♀️

Bother! Sometimes Strava used to fail so I use Runkeeper. While it’s never completely failed it tells whopping fibs if it’s lost signal for a bit. You’d think I’d magically become a top athlete for a km!! 😁

Hahaha..I like the sound of Runkeeper!

Well, 3 strikes and they’re out! 😂🏃🏻‍♀️

Well done, Anna. I use RunKeeper and haven’t had any problems with it at all.

Strava packed in on me after 3k this morning; I guess Strava Lady objected to the rain.

I keep my phone in my waterproof running belt. I never have any problems. Use MapMyRun at the moment.

My Garmin didn’t seem to remember a run so neither did Strava a couple of weeks ago. Then suddenly very late at night it remembered it! Weird. So you never know it may appear later. 🤪

Annoying eh!?!

Strava and MapMyRun both stopped at 32 mins though I ran for 51 mins! So I must have lost the connection, the rain was heavy so maybe that had something to do with it. 🤪

Extraordinarily annoying. It really bugged me. Can’t believe a bit of tech can have such a hold on me! But I’m constantly in competition with myself at the moment. 🥴
