When I started C25K, my goal was as my name Fabulous450 suggests to challenge myself with something I’d never done before, something that I only had to rely on myself for. 50 is something that a lot of people dread...well until you reach the next big milestone and then all of a sudden you would have the old milestone back if you could 😂😂😂!! I was at that point of life where you realise, sometimes due to loss of loved ones that not everyone gets to see 50. It really is something to celebrate 🎉 🎊 and that was the plan!!
After C25K complete, at 49 the challenge was still on! And today my VRBs, I absolutely did it!! After attending a ball until 2am this morning, I came to the beautiful Coate Water Park and ran my 5K!! Nothing was going to prevent me from the mission! And I did it!! 😱😱 And I feel Fabulous450!! 🎂🍾🥂🥂🥂🥂❤️
Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement along the way!! There’s more running to be done, but today, my mission has been accomplished!! 🏃🏽♀️😭💗❤️

Thanks! I’m doing OK - sometimes the seatbone area complains but I did the 20min run of W5 alright and since then pushed a bit harder on the W6 intervals so not surprised. It eases with rest so that’s good. I actually ‘needed’ to run on Thursday for the first time in ages - stress - so I am hoping to put in some more consistent running this month to keep me sane 🤣🤣🤣 Great to see you doing so well and back into it too. Happy birthday you inspiring and lovely lady!

I’d say mission accomplished... you certainly managed to be fabulous 4 50, or indeed for any age. You’ve done amazing things with the last year of your 40s and I’m sure you’re going to achieve even more as you start your 50s.
I’m one of those looking back at that milestone with envy - my milestone this year is 65 😱. Can’t even look forward to my pension till next year but at least I often get first in my age group at Parlrun. Silver linings and all that. ☁️ 🤣
