Since graduating C25K three weeks ago, I have done 2 parkruns and the J.P.Morgan challenge, all of which I part walked. Between, I have been slowly building my running distance. I’m definitely not getting any faster, but I don’t care really.

My target is to run a whole 5km.

I have now run 4.5km twice, and yesterday’s felt pretty good. It was very humid again, and I was soaked within the first km, but I felt ok and made the distance. Again, I could have continued, but I didn’t want to overdo it.

I am hoping to reach my target in the next week, and I will settle with that for a while and consolidate. Just being able to run a complete parkrun will be very satisfying.

Hey 👋

Lovely to read your follow on running. I felt quite lost when I finished C25K, but then realised running is actually for me and I feel great after so have been running with my dog (he loves it too!!). I’ve been running the same 4.5k route at home and trying to pick up my pace and when away with work I’ve done some lovely runs of differing times and lengths in different towns. Glad to hear your still persevering and we’ll done on tour park runs, I’m yet to try one. Ax

Thanks. I thoroughly recommend giving parkrun a go. A friendlier group you will not find.

Love Parkruns! You’ll soon be there, good luck. Not everyone runs without walking intervals too s lot of people who run walk have better (should say faster) results than me ☺️ 🐢 X
