Good evening to you all. I'm still feeling ecstatic after my first 10k yesterday at Race for life in Leicester. So happy! ππ
What a fantastic morning it was, emotional, heart warming and a tad too hot for my liking. Supported by my hubby, sister-in-law and Mum , eldest daughter and I ran the 10k followed by youngest daughter who did 5k ( very quickly!)
Of course the race isn't timed but my Fitbit said 1 hour 12 mins so I'll take that. It doesn't matter though, I got round , enjoyed it and raised some cash . I'm so chuffed!
Thanks everyone for your posts they've inspired me so much.π
Now , half marathon training , let's go! ( what's become of me?) ππββοΈ

Well done on your first 10k! πππ½ββοΈπ Race for Life is a fantastic cause and great that your daughters took part too - well done to them as well! Welcome too, to the forum. Hopefully you will now post more regularly as I'm sure you have seen what a great place it is! Good luck on the next stage of your running journey.ππ
Thank you Sandra for your lovely reply, I've thoroughly enjoyed training with my daughters even though they're both very fast! Promise not to lurk again, everyone is so friendly and encouraging.
Well done! I did 10k muddy race for life on Saturday in Cardiff. My first 10k too. It is such a moving event to be part of, always a great atmosphere and great encouragement. Amazing time too, keep it up x
Thank you GOG ! It was lovely to have them all there with us, we had a great day and now I feel very motivated , can't wait for tonight's run! πββοΈπ
