Signed up for my first 10k in July after starting the C25K programme in January. Training was going well until the heatwave struck. The Race for Life was last weekend in Portsmouth at 11am, virtually no shade & with temps at around 30 C. Managed to run most of it with a short walk around 6.5k. But it was so, so hot out there. Euphoric to finish, with my lovely daughter, but walking back to the car started getting short of breath and feeling that my throat was closing up. It passed, drank loads and ate a bag of wine gums. Job done. What now ?!

Congrats - fantastic achievement! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Wonderful! And don't you both look great!!! Love the shorts. Must be great running with your daughter. Mine would have to leave the couch and iPhone behind, so not in the near future. 🙄
What next indeed?
Love it!
