Did my 5k today, and I managed to knock 4 minutes off my previous snails time of 44 mins 45 secs. Finished in 40mins 45 secs...so happy I could burst : )

Excuse the concrete on the treadmill, it got splashed when we were doing some work

That’s fantastic, so much time to knock off in one go you must have been flying along! You’ll be beaming all day now, well done!

Well done! All the hard work and training is really paying off and will continue to do so. Good to see a picture of the tech.

How did you do that? I've managed to go from 46 to 45 to 44 minutes for 5k but knocking four minutes off would be fantastic! If you have a secret I need to know!

Hi

No secret, I am on the magic 10k so have been increasing my distance slowly and I think it's strengthened my legs. Also, I am on my period (TMI) but that also helps me normally. I was well hydrated, semi-rested, it wasn't my normal pre-6am run so maybe everything just came together.

Who knows if I can do it again, lol, but I'm certzinly going to use my weekly 5k to work on speed from now on.

Good luck with yours

Well done ! Great time !

Who would of thought Ju Ju’s plan is working and we are getting fitter each week πŸ‘

It definitely is. Also I have been doing all my running at c25k pace, nice gentle trots at a conversational pace : ) I wanted to see if I could push myself a bit outside of my happy comfort zone, just because. I liked it. Made me remember my young, much fitter days when I got the next day aches and liked them lol
