First 10k Race

Completed my first 10k race today in Exmouth. I was aiming for a sub 60min finish and came in at 59:15. My previous best at this distance a few weeks ago, running solo, was 1:06:30. Happy with this only 3 months after finishing C25K.

Thanks for all the comments. It was enjoyable and even managed to do a ‘sprint’ finish. Stuck to my plan of a negative split although realise in a race how much discipline is required. I now wish I’d discovered running thirty years ago when I was in my twenties!!
