More Poppies.

Decided to do only a short run yesterday, as I didn’t want to tie up my phone for too long and saw someone had attached these beautiful crocheted poppies to the fence near the war memorial, not sure if they have been done by the same person as the other ones I photographed the other day but they really lifted the spirits.

We had one of our dogs in to the vets on Wednesday and when there wan’t any improvement by Friday morning, I rushed her back down. The vet suspects pancreatitis after x-rays and ruling out all sorts of other horrors she’s still on a drip and in the best possible place at the moment. Sunday morning here is my favourite time to read all your parkrun reports but the clinic was open until lunchtime, so me and the dog cuddled instead. Thankfully this happened while we are still here and not winging our way over to the UK.

I saw a post, I think by Equi-geek last week about the Trust 10 trail runs. What a fab idea National Trust and in such beautiful surroundings. They all look amazing but the Lyme Trust 10k is close to home (in my heart) and I think I might have to spend the kids inheritance and come back to the UK next year as well and run it 😂 Saw another article today on the 10 most breathtaking parkruns and the one in Preston is on the list. Yay! Can’t wait.

Hopefully our wee girl will be better and home soon. Keep cool and happy running everyone 👍

Sorry to hear your dog is unwell. Hopefully she gets home soon.

Those crochet poppies are so neat. It would warm my heart to see that on my run. I'm glad you got out for a run despite dealing with a sick dog. I'm sure it helped clear your mind, as did your lovely cuddles with her this morning.

Thanks Saska, they’re just beautiful aren’t they? Our dog is normally a robust wee thing (Jack Russell cross) but she looked pretty sad this morning. Runs really do help don’t they?

Aww Lexi, fingers crossed for your sweet girl. It’s worrying when animals are unwell isn’t it? I was nursing a sick rabbit recently (we have 2 as part of our menagerie), and she’s on the mend I’m happy to say. It would have been hard going away last week and leaving the care to our daughter.

Beautiful poppies. What a lovely sight to see on a run. ❤️🏃‍♀️

Thanks Cheeky, glad your bunny’s doing better. Many years ago, we travelled up to Auckland to see Paul McCartney and Wings (that makes me ancient eh?) left daughter dog and house sitting and 48 hours after we’d gone, the dog ended at the vets with gastro and passed away, so she’s feeling a little nervous, but sure she’s going to be fine.

Those poppies make the heart sing. ❤️

They were brilliant, I just loved Paul McCartney. It was a fab concert and Linda was on keyboards. ❤️

Thanks Oldfloss, hopefully she’s back to her very cheeky self soon. I was pleasantly surprised that the poppies I photographed on the Olive tree the other day are still there too. They are such cheerful flowers.

Thank goodness we have running, after a few struggles of late, its bringing me a lot of joy. X

Thanks IP, they’re beautiful and really lifted my mood, our other dog will be glad when she’s home, she teases him something terrible, but think he misses her. 😀
