After a week spent lopping and clearing 60ft of our neighbour's overgrown conifers so that we could replace our fence panels (๐ ), I spent a few days feeling rather under the weather (probably shattered) and have only managed one run this week, which I did this morning. A bit disappointing, as I had finally got myself back up to three runs last week, ho-hum ๐.
It was rather chilly here early on, but had warmed up to 6 degrees by the time I had run my teenagers to their weekend jobs and walked our dog. I reran C25k W4R3 and really enjoyed it, covering 3.9km all in. Each of my run sections was a quicker pace than the previous one, but I was unaware of that at the time.
Spring is starting to make a lovely display in my neighbourhood. Ducklings at the pond, white blossom in the hedgerows, the daffodils are just emerging and a beautiful carpet of crocus (photo) which I saw on one of my dog walks this week.
Here's to looking forward to the warmer days ahead. Hopefully I will also manage more runs next week. Happy running everyone. ๐๐โโ๏ธ๐ธ
Well done DD. Have not been signed of to run yet but managing to walk a lot...you have nearly finished Lejog. Hope to be running again by end of month. Keep it up...
That's good news Timotea. Easy does it when you do restart. ๐ค
Lovely picture, there is nothing yelling SPRING as much as crocus, is there? You were indeed probably shattered from the garden work. Some kinds of garden work are very heavy on the body and it sounds like you did some serious work! Take it easy and don't strain your body too hard!

Thank you ๐. It was very heavy work in the garden!
No wonder you felt under the weather that sounds like extreme gardening! At least you got one run in I'm sure you'll be back up to 3 next week. Spring is trying hard to appear up here.
What a lovely pic D-d! Most of the crocuses (croci?) have gone over down here in the south but there are still loads of dads around brightening up the days! Sounds like some heavy duty gardening there but youโll have a nice new fence soon to make it all worthwhile!
Hi OGR. Iโm in the south too and snapped these lovely crocus earlier in the week when they were still looking their best. They are in a shady spot so perhaps a little later than others. The white blossom in the hedgerows is stunning just now. Not sure if itโs blackthorn? The fence is looking fab - just 3 more panels to go!
That is a beautiful photo and it does lift the spirits to see sights such as this ๐๐. I bet you felt so much better for getting out and Iโm sure next week will be different for you ๐โโ๏ธ
