I did it - I actually ran 10K for the first time in my life ever! I cant tell you how chuffed I am. Slow and steady, but banished a lot of gremlins still left over from humiliation at school for being the fat girl .
Brilliant sunset on the beach to finish the run too - This is a minor miracle, and somehow the sunset seemed appropriate.
My legs didn't hurt, but my back did. Does anyone have any tips for how to get round this one?
Onwards - consolidation, then what's next?

Lovely picture and huge congratulations. As for back ache, a visit to the physio really helped me. He diagnosed poor spine curvature and has got me doing simple exercises which do help. However that’s just me and you might want to see your GP if it persists.
Congrats on reaching the 10k milestone! That is awesome! And that picture!!!!! So gorgeous. The perfect way to end the run. In regards to the back pain, you may need to strengthen your core a bit. As we get tired, our form can go out the window, which could lead to extra pains. With a strong core you can keep the nice upright stance better.
