The torrential rain has stopped me going out since last sunday’s gruelling 7miler in the hills. I know, I’m a wuss and should just go out in it. I’m still a bit worried about my image! It’s one thing to get caught in a rain shower when running, but to wilfully go out in the lashing rain just looks insane!!
The forecast for tomorrow in Bucks isn’t too bad, so I’m off for a 6k race after work. Using it as a recce for a longer race later in the summer over the same area. Hopefully the sun will be shining on the righteous and I feel very righteous after my hard work this week! 🏃♀️🎉🏆🐌!!

This time of year it's quite refreshing. The rain is not ice cold and doesn't lash at your skin like in the winter. Bit of thunder and lightning...that's it I'm out there 🤪🧐
Good luck Katie with the 6k. I've been totally soaked twice this week; a 7k on Tuesday and a 5k early this morning. This morning I thought the rain had finally stopped but 2k in it started yet again
It is actually really nice running in the rain. The only insane thing about it is when you find yourself running along grinning with happiness at the madness of the situation and how amazing it feels!
Haha! Didn’t need to get soaked, the sun shone. The course round the grounds of Stowe near Buckingham was beautiful. I’ll sign up for the 12k there later this summer probably. Have a lovely weekend!xx
