Last year I was up running at 5.00am and in a sweaty heap the rest of the day - it was too hot for me. I’d like some nice weather this year but not that hot again please

I dont fare too well in the summer when not running so I find it really hard. Maybe I will have to take water to just chuck over my head when it gets too much lol! :)

I bought some thin sports towels that you get wet then wring out and put round your neck while running, going to try then this year. When they warm up you shake them out and they go cold again

That's the one I have and they really do work! I have even run some with it draped over my head which I am sure looked fab lol! :)

Good for you, that’s brilliant.

I hate running in the heat but there are various little tips that can help. No doubt we’ll have lots of posts about it when the heat really gets going 🥵

Thanks princess :) I'm sure I'm not alone in liking running in the winter. I feel much more alive when it is frosty than when it is sunny. I already have a cooling towel wrapped round my neck. Bring on the helpful tips! :)

Dunk your head in water before you run. It reduces your core temperature for a while at least.

Can you run earlier CCM? That's the main trick I know!😀

I did get up early doors JP..otherwise I will be running in the middle of the night lol! I have never been good with it too hot or too cold and the weather is rarely just right. I may have to stick an ice pack under a vest at this rate :)

Thank you! It has been good to get back to being able to run 3 times a week after migraines. Have a lovely weekend! :)
