This has been another tough year for many people. So, with the year coming to an end why not think and post about some of your happy times, memories and running achievements throughout the year.
I'm ending the year going through a tough running period but looking back at what I have achieved from never having run before. Wow !!
Happy New Year everyone. Let's hear about your successes.

The year didn't get off to the best of starts with an unexpected heart attack. However, that particular incident led to the discovery of C25K and the joys of running.
How my life has changed in such a short space of time for the better. I never knew I could run 5k (28:08) let alone 10k (1:06:59).
I have been scared to death with my horse and donkey encounter; i have raced rats 🐀 down towpath tunnels; i have found parkruns and love taking part and volunteering.
During late summer and throughout Autumn I had such pleasure running at my pace and with my rules ( as opposed to Mr Garmins ). Talking if tech i obviously now have a running watch; musicozy; running socks; man tights; flashing lights and heaven knows what else. I also get excited over the words Asics and Brooks 🤣🤣
There is so much I never would have experienced had I not found running including of course the muddy race for life 5k for cancer research.
I almost forget - GailXrunning plankathon challenge. Holey moley, that was tough
Most of all, thank you to everyone on these forums for helping me on my journey and through the tough times.
Some highlights of 2021: my first 10km, doing 10km round the lake, the short runs in the heatwave, running 10 miles in rural Cambridgeshire, reaching a HM, the 10km race, doing a HM distance in rural Wales. And all the other runs between.
For me the highlights running-wise were: keep running after starting in November 2020 (though now I haven't run for 3 weeks or more and have to get back at it!), finding the miracle of Jeffing and of course reaching 10K and 10 miles.

10 miles Evy. That is just a fantastic achievement 👏
My highlight has to be completing a trail marathon, as per profile pic. So many fabulous memories of people, scenery, views, crazy terrain, acting like a little kid, and more.
Also the Spring HUHM, aka my first metric marathon - I ran it to raise money for a hospice and wore bright yellow bunny ears throughout.
