Well I graduated 2 weeks ago and have been running 5k 3 times a week since. C2K was brilliant for me as I really enjoyed the discipline of the 9 week programme. Is there something similar that would take me onto 10k?

What next after C2K
If you watch the posts its the final week of the current 10k plan so another will start soon, why not jump on that?
That 10k plan in the above reply is great... and the 10k run is wonderful, those first few minutes as we settle in are less of the run! Any tracker can be used to dial up the distance for the run with time/pace/distance updates.
I’m amazed lately. So many people graduating from C25K and wanting to go straight to 10K and half Marathons.
You are all very driven and committed.
I’m still a big big fan of 5K. I spent a year just doing 5K and trying to get comfortable at 5K. I’m a massive fan of Parkrun and my goals are based around improving my Parkrun PB times. It’s nice to get to 10K and lately I’ve been doing a nice long run of between 10-14K on Sunday mornings. But the only reason I’m doing it is to build endurance for a faster paced 5K.
Enjoy your 10K journey. I got there by running 5K 3 times per week. One run I added 500 meters to each week and over a couple of months I got to 10K.
Good luck,
Damien
Thanks guys for your replies. I’m thinking that by increasing mileage for 10k training hopefully my speed for 5k would increase as a result of increase in stamina.
