Feeling a bit deflated, finally did a 4K run yesterday in new trainers and all went ok, no niggles, aches or pains so really happy. Got up this morning, body steered to the left and had to use the walls to get about, picture a boat in a lake with one oar !! Went to dr’s , I’ve got infection in both inner ears making me dizzy, lightheaded and sick. It’s just been one thing after another!! Can’t wait for it all to end so I can get back running properly again x

Oh that is rough. Sorry this has hit you. You have had a tough go of things lately. Hoping you can heal up quickly and get back out there.

Thanks , fingers crossed 🤞

Oh, that's horrid. i get that, triggered by flying. i had a bout after coming back from Iceland last autumn, and it kept me off running for a week. Luckily it passes.

Oh gawd you have my sympathy 😞. I get a lot of ear troubles, always have. I blame this veering to the left for my crapness at riding a bike. Also my lifelong travel sickness

Covering your ears first up. Not wearing earphones too often. I chew gum with Flexitol in it. On the affected side. Moving the jaw can help your ear popping I have an ear drum that seems not to work properly, due to scarring from so many infections, so chewing gum helps the drum according to my consultant

Keeping the ear dry is the main thing, which takes practice 🙂. It makes you feel very poorly so get it sorted ASAP.

A side effect of this affliction for me - or maybe the cause - is a tendency for my left ear to block so that I cant hear myself speak.

I run without earphones as I can never get them to stay anyway and put a buff over my ears to keep them warm. The dizziness and nausea has eased today but have dull ache in both ears today. There is nothing worse than earache, I pity you as it’s really not very nice , xx

Hope it’s not too long, I get really twitchy if too long without a run.
