Running for England 🇬🇧

I admit, my lovely RBs, that I haven’t run for over a week. We’ve been away in the camper to Biarritz and the Pyrenees and, although I took my running gear with me, I never quite got round to going for a run. We did walk a long way though! Tomorrow, having got through the faff of getting a medical certificate, I am taking part in the inaugural Bergerac Intersport 10k for the glory of England. After eating and drinking probably rather more than I should over the past week, I am a little nervous 😬. Wish me luck. Full report tomorrow- hopefully with bling!

😡😤😖 fuming! Just got an email from Bergerac Athletics Club to say the Mayor has cancelled the race. 12 hours before it was due to take place. Cost me £65 for the medical certificate they said I had to have as well as the entry fee and we changed our plans so I could take part. Grumble, mutter, grrrrr!

Blimey that’s annoying........but you might have had a lucky escape....you should hear Curlygurly2 ’s adventures in a trail race in Cordes last week......and what did she get for her effort? a cable belt clip and a strange sort of poster of the area she’d just run.......I don’t think the french are known for giving out bling.......

You do wonder why, perhaps someone upset the mayor......they can be a bit fickle......and have power......

Don’t let it spoil your trip......get the wine out....😉🍷

Wine uncorked and going down well 🍷 Apparently for reasons of security. I fail to see how they didn’t know that in advance. Got a nice t-shirt - might be worth a bit in the future as it celebrates an event that didn’t actually happen 😂
