Running in England!

Runninginsingapore profile image

It is certainly cooler than Singapore but what glorious countryside!

My daughter has decided that she would also like to run, so she has joined me this week which has been great. We did a 6k on Monday in Singapore, 5k very early on Wednesday morning in England and then a 10k this morning. I’m no faster here, the only difference is that I don’t get as hot and the warm shower after is beautiful! It’s still slow and steady, but running with someone is fun. We chatted, motivated each other, and pointed out the robins, ducks and squirrels as we went past.

Probably only one more 5k here before travelling back to the heat and humidity, but it’s looking like the 10k race in January will be on track to being manageable and slightly faster than the last one 🏃‍♀️.

Happy running everyone, here’s to a good 2019. 🍾👍👏

How lovely RIS. Fabulous to run with your daughter and respect for chatting at the same time! I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the cool weather. I bet it makes it so much more comfortable for you. 😀👍

Thank you! Although to be fair, my daughter chatted mainly and I responded with words of one syllable! It was nice though 😊

Lovely post. Just goes to show that the English countryside has much to offer. (Although I am slightly jealous of your running in Singapore...)

Singapore is an amazing city and a great place to live, but I do miss the UK and it’s seasons, as well as our extended family. The English landscape is one of the best!

That’s lovely to run with your daughter and share that precious time together. It’s been lovely weather over Christmas too.

Yes, I’m really pleased that she is joining me... and it’s also motivating me to try to be a little bit faster! The weather has also been kind!
