First run with a trail running group

I joined a trail running group today for my first really off road outing. Lovely day, frosty anywhere the sun hadn’t got to, but we started in the valley so all uphill which was very warming!

It is SO pretty in the Peak District with daffys out. The hills were severe but there was lots of walking (intervals!), then a field that was too rough to run without turning an ankle so more walking, then a lovely downhill to the cafe for a cuppa and a chat. I had a lovely time and have made more running friends.

I hope the VRB Parkrun down south went well.

Happy sunny runny day everybody ☀️

Sounds great - whereabouts did you run? I’ve booked for the Salomon event in Edale in June.

Sounds great fun Baddie and very energetic. The Southampton meet was brilliant- such a lovely bunch of runner beings.

I like that phrase: runner beings 😀

It was also frosty in places around Southampton. The breeze was biting before and after but welcome during the run!

Yes they aren’t smiles in the group photo, they are teeth chattering

Baddie that sounds brilliant (if you like hills, which I think you do, don't try and deny it😁) The peak District sounds beautiful 😊
