Morning Trail run.

Well I wasn’t expecting it to be so warm when I eventually got out this morning….but it was.

I thought that I would just wear a t shirt 👚 and another warm long sleeved top on top, black leggings , buff , gloves hat and gloves. I did think that maybe it wasn’t going to be enough. However it was lovely and snug. The only part of me that was slightly cold was my face. The sun was shining and the sky was a beautiful pinky colour in parts. I noticed as I was running that the daffs are starting to come out fully now so spring is coming even though there has been lots of frost and a bit slippy in places.

Normally I love the winter for running but this couple of weeks it has been extremely cold 🥶 and even though I’m a northern lass from Northumberland I have certainly got a bit fed up of the cold.

So I’m out on Sunday morning before the rain comes.

It was a beautiful day yesterday we went for a long walk all wrapped up but on the way back felt very warm, running shortly but a quick catch up and a cuppa before I get going. Lovely to hear the daffodils are sprouting and spring is coming this winter so far has not been good for me and the thought of spring gives me a warm happy feeling xx

Thats sounds like a really blissful run, seeing the daffs always makes me think that this horrid weather won't be around too long, Spring is on the way!!😀

Hey Hedgehogs123 it’s really good to hear from you. I’m hoping you’re keeping well and you are managing to get out for brilliant runs. I’m pleased that this awful weather will be gone soon and then spring will be running up the roads to join all of us.😂😂

things have been pretty hectic here with work, my mum, my partner and my health, talk about keeping balls in the air!! So I just haven't had a second to read or contribute to the forum which I have really missed. Have to say I hate this cold weather, would just love to hibernate like my hedgehogs!!

Ive got the Welsh 3peaks challenge in May, so our training has started for that, so Im determined to get my fitness back. Glad you see you are still getting out 😁🏃‍♀️

It has been really hectic for you. I hope you will be able to have some quality time soon and with the Welsh 3peaks coming soon I’m sure you will be more than ready for that and your fitness will very quickly return.

Yes I’ve often wondered 🧐what it would be like to hibernate until the spring ,all cosy and snug ….sleeping …..dreaming of better weather ….😂😂

Anyway good luck with your training although I doubt you’ll need it as you are very good.
