Hi lovely people, quick update! Finally got an ultrasound scan on my foot which I injured in July and which still niggles. No soft tissue damage but signs of an old ankle injury, which has been aggravated but without an MRI, couldn't say more. π€ So I will carry on running, with lovely new compression socks, and I will now go get a gait analysis done, and treat myself to new trainers too. So, to celebrate (?) the (lack of) news, I went out and ran 6 whole k in the very murky weather yesterday morning. Went solo as Couchpotato2 was working, and took it slowly. I only intended to run 5.5, but as I was still some way from the car at that point, I decided to keep going until I got back to my car. Spot on 6k, it was meant to be! π Had to thread my way through an intrepid group of mums who had ventured out with their toddlers in anoraks and wellies, which brought back memories. I was also pleased not to be running away from zombies, because trees looming out of the mist were a bit too atmospheric at times! The socks - too discreet?
And so it begins... With socks!: Hi lovely... - Bridge to 10K
And so it begins... With socks!
Lovely socks!! I hope they help. Good luck with gait analysis π€
I love the socks π». The zombies will be able to see you in the mist with those πΉ
Itβs amazing that socks can make such a difference. Lovely too π
Thing is. GOG, those socks simply arenβt bright enough! π π
I love them! ππ So much better than my dull as dishwater (and similar in colour too π³) ones. Hope yours do the trick. π€
Well done on your 6k. All sounding good for you - excellent! π
Funny what this running lark does to a person's dress sense! My usual colour choices are black, or denim, or denim with black. My running wardrobe, well now, that's a different matter! Although, does anyone else find they are making bolder colour choices elsewhere too? Starts with a scarf here, a cushion there, where will it end?!!π Go on cheekychipmunks, be brave. You can always wear these π (and thanks, feeling more hopeful for that 10k now π
Great news... and I bet you never lose those socks!
Too discreet? Not unless you get matching shoes!π
Fabulous
I want some!
When I as at college (in the 1970s), a friend and I used to judge the young men around by how gay their socks were. Of course now we would have to call them happy not gay, but I definitely think those would have passed the happy sock test 100%!
Am grumpycp2 as I didn't manage a run and don't know when I"ll have the energy too... I want to see your socks in action! And also watch your gait analysis...
They are a little bit discreet .... NOT π love them π and well done for the 6k ππ»
Love the socks! Glad you enjoyed your run πββοΈ
As we say over here, youβd barely notice ya in those !! Hope they help with what ails you x
Please be my guestππ
Love them! Got a very old ankle injury that niggles now and then. Where are theses from I might give them a try. Thanks.
I love the socks, I would like some like these. Well done grumpyoldgirl, pleased you had your scan at last. Great run by the way πππ
