Found a new route

I am really enjoying exploring as I venture further on my runs. I was running a familiar route today and found a little path I hadn’t come across before, which led me on a trail alongside the beck. A happy 6k and a much more enjoyable run than my last on Friday: thank you for all the encouraging comments. My plan is for a short gentle trot on Thursday before my first ever race: 5miles on Saturday 👍

Less than 4 weeks to my first ever 10k race too! I keep getting 🦋 whenever I think of it! 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋

You’ll be great! My first 10k isn’t until June. How have you been getting on with distance? I quite enjoy a 6.5-7.5k at the moment. I have run 8k (5miles) once.

Wonderful! This is the great thing about running and exploring. It's such fun isn't it. You find these gems on your doorstep, and it's free!

I love it! I’m lucky to be in an urban area, on the outskirts of Leeds, but with plenty of green belt very close by x

What a beautiful spot Molly. I think all us runners really appreciate the countryside around us as we explore more and more. And then there’s the changing seasons too.

Good luck for Saturday I have my first on Sunday a 7km in girnemaraton.com. I try to avoid calling them a race as it sounds so competitive!

Yes! I’ve been calling it an ‘event’ wherever possible! Enjoy yours: it took me a while to figure it out! I saw the language and guessed Turkey, but it’s the North Cyprus territory isn’t it? Hope it’s not too warm x

Yes North Cyprus, there is an English section and a facebook page. Should be OK temperature wise though it is steadily warming!
