This morning was miserable, wet and cold. Had on my running stuff as I walked the dogs but could not muster up the desire to run. I vowed I would run tonight instead.
Got home in daylight and off I went. I was rubbish. Slower than I have been in an age
Wishing it was over at 3k. I made myself do 5k. Sweaty mess and I had forgotten my flannel.
Forgot to take my makeup off. Me and Alice Cooper only our mother could tell us apart. Eyeliner and mascara running down my face. Not attractive.

I like morning runs best. Wish I had more time then but always somewhere I need to be. I did c25k at night though. Now the light nights are here I shall mix it up a bit.
I will try and remember to take off the slap off first.
Thank goodness no one saw me. Apart from a greyhound of a fellow runner who was going at a fair old lick, last bit of sun in his eyes so not overly concerned.
I think I am more of a morning runner but I shall give night runs a go once in awhile. As it gets lighter more time to run. I might be slower but release of daily brain scramble is v good
Now there’s an idea. Katnap and I are in a 10k race on Sunday. We shall wear our snail and pirate badges - they can hold our numbers on 😀👍 Thanks Floss 😀x
We could start a band!!! The wind and cold literally had me crying tonight. Nose running quicker than my legs too. But we were out there and we ran which means we are fabulous. 🏃🏼♀️👏🏃🏼♀️
I can just imagine the Alice Cooper look RunningRoni, and agree there are some pictures you don’t want everyone to see.
I am totally red faced after Parkrun and cringe when I see the photos on the Parkrun Facebook page. He never gets me at the beginning of the run while I’m looking cool 😂😂
You have seen the photos of me at the park run invitation events. I was a bit shocked wondered who that old woman at the end was until I realised it was me.
I never go anywhere without makeup except running, which is probably when I need it most.
Ahh bless! Been there! I go bright red after about 15 mins but always forget- I get concerned looks from people I pass! Panda eyes would finish it off nicely! Well done for going out, it’s harder after a full day!!
Good for you for getting out there in the evening, it's so difficult fitting these runs in sometimes, I know only too well. You did it and that's the main thing, don't worry how you look, I'm usually a red blob haha, but definately minimal or no makeup, lol. Good you went, keep it going. Any help with attaching pics, just fire away your questions, I'm sure we can all offer you help etc x 😊👍
I’m impressed that you can even run in the evening! No way could I restrict my food intake enough to make running later in the day comfortable. So good for you getting out no matter how it went! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️😀
I also get the Alice Cooper look when it rains. I don’t wear much makeup, but it looks like I do when it’s streaked down my face. I do a good panda impression too. 🐼
I don't usually wear makeup when running, the last few months it has been dark for my morning runs and no one is about then anyway. I was wearing the work warpaint.
Won't make that mistake again, well I probably might.
I’m usually a morning runner ( fall out of bed and start running before I wake properly and realise what I’m doing)but I can’t motivate myself again lately since the mornings have been a bit nippy. Going to try tonight to get out there again.
I’ve even bought a treadmill a week or so ago but it’s colder in my garage than it is outside!!!
I have got into the routine of morning runs. Walk dogs, husband takes them home and set off running. On the whole whatever the weather or how dark I just ran.
Light nights have brought choice. I might get used to evening runs again, just a tad physically and mentally exhausted at the end of a working day.
I’m retired so don’t have that excuse and strangely I run better on empty in the mornings. If I’ve eaten it seems to shake it around and that’s not comfortable at all
