As you may know, Ju-Ju has had to step away from Health Unlocked for a while due to work commitments. We want to keep the Magic Running Plan going on this forum until her return, so here is the Panther herself with the video invitation from January:
I’m still in Roseabi, my second journey to 10k was paused for skiing so I repeated a few weeks on return and am now on week 4 (8k) again. I’ve got a 10k race on 23rd April so I should be there by then if all goes to plan.

You can take as much time as you like to do the Magic 10 plan - absolutely no pressure! We always have people on different stages of the plan week by week. For example, see Dexy's comment above!
The strength exercises are optional, and they will be planks, squats, and jumps. I will go through them each week as they come up. I am going to suggest that if people want to try them they can do them straight after their runs, later in the day, or on separate days - whatever fits in with life!
And by the time the plan starts I should be able to join it on the distance one as I am now running 5km just about (well I’ve done it a few times and felt ok).

I just wondered then if it’s possible for an app like strava to beep or something when Ive reached the required distance, without having to extract my phone and look at it? (Will do distance rather than time as already running 5k in under 30 mins)
One thing you CAN do on Strava (but in a browser rather than the app) is plot out a route for the required distance, such as this one (I think you should be able to view it anyway!):
It might be worth considering a sports watch with gps now that you’ve got to this stage Hinchley M. I bought a garmin forerunner 35 which is great, but cheaper ones are available.
If not, you can set Strava to talk to you at the end of each kilometre and let you know your pace.
I listen to music and I have the fitbit running part on my phone. I can set it up to tell me every .5 or 1 km. I hear it through the headphones but if you have not got those it is loud enough. Map my walk does the same.
As you’ve got iOS, you might like to try the app JogRunSprint on your short run. I think it’s great fun. I do 30 seconds jog, 20 seconds run , 10 seconds sprint.
Runmeter will let you know when you have done each km (or other distances you can set). It annoyingly speaks over the top of your music, but is helpful to know when to turn round on a linear run.
You mentioned Strava, HinchleyMum : if you have already that (and don't want to download another app for a feature Strava already has), it does the announcing thing too (every km or whatever you set, plus minutes/km pace if you want that too), and yes, it's also over the top of your music, but it admittedly doesn't talk otherwise.
Yay! Used Strava speak thing this morning on Parkrun! Marvellous! Should’ve set it for every 1k not 1/2k but it was perfect. According to Strava (Official time not out yet) I finished in 26:14 which is a new pb. Too hot for me today though. Ran in shorts (😳) and T-shirt but still too hot. Think I may be a cool weather runner!

Me! I’m in. I’ve kind of half-heartedly started, I ran 5.5k last weekend. I would really love to do this with a virtual group so we can get though together in our own ways!

I’d like to join in too, but think I should run to time rather than distance. I’m still pretty slow over distance but it sounds ideal for building up time. Anyway, I’d like to try it and see 😊

Hi roseabi, please can I join. I have just done week 1 of a slightly adjusted Ju-ju plan because the 10k event I am signing up for is in May! It will be great to have some virtual friends along for support. Best of luck to everyone.
You could do your three weeks of consolidation first Laurzmum, and the see how you feel from there. Best not to increase time and distance until then really. People will all be on different weeks anyway. And others join in later.

I’m in please. I’ve been battling to get up to 5k (again) but have a 10K end of May so this will be perfect. Need to be held to account as I find keeping the motivation the most difficult part. Thank you and looking forward to it 🤔🤔🤪

That would be brilliant 💪💪much stronger together!! Was going to run this morning but it’s pouring here. Meetings all day so will try to run at tea time. Or might go to the gym if weather conditions don’t improve!! Fridays run looks ok...but then 30mins non stop 😬😬😄
No I’m going to run tomorrow instead. I keep using Michael I find him so encouraging! I have only run 30 without any stopping only a couple of times. Usually 25 is ok. Then 2 mins and then a bit more. So I’ve occasionally Run 5k plus. But never without a little gap! 😬

5 K on week 8! That's going some. I did just under 5k this morning in 44 minutes! Well, I suppose we are a mixed ability group. But 5k is just about my limit.

Having missed the start of the last B210K, I've been following "Mike's add a bit now and again then spend six weeks doing 9K once a week whilst trying to improve pace" plan. Although "plan" is too grand a term for it. Anyhow, I could do with motivation to do some cross training so please count me in.

Hi Roseabi please add me MrFox001. I did the January one and did the 10k but i missed several of the shorter runs plus i have been off for nearly 4 weeks now with a Calf Muscle injury. My Physio reckons i should be ok to start off again next Friday so fingers crossed. Thank You.

Yes please !! 'Team Fit4life are about to close down on week 5 of 10K plan ,so next week we will be our week 6 of 'Magic 10' !! We have been increasing our longest run by 1K each week since our consolidation runs following C25K, meaning we should graduate at 10K, 2 weeks this coming sunday .Would still like to be involved ,and chip in with our experiences where and when appropriate !! We couldn,t wait for this current plan to start as we needed to make enough ground to consolidate at 10K for our charity run in May but our own plan has been more or less the same as Ju-Ju,s 'Magic 10', so all is well !!

I’m in again. Completed this last year. Unfortunately I got flu in January started running in February and got a sore hip. But back to running 5k 3 times a week and need to get back to 10K. Xx

Sweet of you to ask, but unfortunately I'm out. Have been massaging and stretching the area and went for a short run this morning, but although it went better than last week there is no way I could keep up with the plan right now. May join you in a few weeks, though.
Hope so! In the meantime I suggest you keep up your exercise with walks and anything else you enjoy that doesn't cause pain (swimming?). And, if not already doing so, eccentric heel drops every day twice a day - again, use pain as your guide; back off if it hurts!
I'm already a little ahead of the game though. I've started this week because I know I'll struggle with the longer durations - I've never run for longer than 30 mins. Doing double that seems like an impossible task at the minute but I might surprise myself
Just got past the first hurdle - 35 mins. The first ten weren't easy and I kinda lost my form in the last five but I got to the end. I'm convinced that Spotify has superpowers. Why else would it play "relax" as I'm coming to the end of the run

I joined in January but only managed 1 run per week for 5 runs then stopped for a month. I have restarted couch25K and am in week 5. I have the bridge210K printed out and may follow it out of sync, so to say. Not sure what happened. It started with ice on the footpaths, then long work hours away from home. The important thing is "I get knocked down, then I get up again......................." Love that song, and love running.
