To get the disaster out of the way first, Stanley 2-0 up after 40 minutes and losing 5-2 to Burton Albion rather spoilt the afternoon . We needed the points more than you, Millsie-J .
However, after thinking after Wednesday's 8k that I might swerve today's Parkrun in favour of a longer recovery, changing my mind given near perfect conditions wasn't really much of a surprise, but doing my first sub-25 of the year (24'44" watch, 24'51" official) was a very pleasant one. The picture (twixt timekeepers and tokens) shows how much I enjoyed it …….

Yes Mr M really appreciated his season ticket today! I can hear the roar from the crowd in my garden.... we are a mile and half from the Stadium...... it was a good background sound track to my garden pottering today 😀
Lucus is my favourite... he scored from 2 penalties today... whats not to like? Teehee!
Not as red🍅 as a tomato or the tank top UpTheStanley is wearing in the photo, I have many sleeveless vests/tank tops like that and T shirts in my wardrobe. 😊 🏃.
Woohoo UTS, great time there! 👊👊🏃♂️🏃♂️Sorry about Stanley though. ⚽️ 🙁
I volunteered at PR yesterday and wished I’d run as the conditions were indeed perfect. Lots of sweaty barcodes to scan - they really all needed laminating. Some were folded too which made it nigh on impossible 😫 Still fun though! 😀
Congratulations UTS - great to feel we can still crack those milestone times! As you say, perfect conditions - I was hopeful of a PB at Lakeside but missed it by 1 second! Drat!
