It actually ended a couple of weeks ago. I had been running extra distances and some intervals and it was all getting too much.
The PB streak was still a buzz but all my other runs were toxic and the advice I got was: "You're running too much!" and "You're settling off too quick!". Strava confirms so did a slowerstart , did negative splits, and was flying on the final km at our local parkrun β π Overall time was off pace but it felt good to finish with a sprinting flourish!
But back to PBs now. Course PBs count don't they? Did a tourist run at Kettering last Saturday and this coming Saturday TailChaser and our kittens will be at Marple parkrun as part of team BaddieThePirate. Another PB streak in the making π

I followed someone I know who has been going a bit quicker than me but I think she was on a consolidation run so started to build speed from about halfway.
Started before Christmas on roseabi 's plan...weather conspired against me..new treadmill bought ..weather improved!!! Had to tweak the plan quite a bit but with great support from @roseabi and especially misswobble ..to try to get the runs in.
Last 3K of the plan tomorrow..and here we are.
Just hopeful that my slow and steady will get me there...I intend enjoying the whole experience..it has been quite a journey from C25K in 2015 to here...! And the Trail is beautiful...and one I have walked and cycled..never run though...unbelievable!
What beautiful looking negative splits Katnap! Iβd be very happy with those and Iβd be constantly looking at that graph with pride! π Your PBs will return, never fear. π
Enjoy Marple. My FOMO has returned but when I looked it was 141 miles from Bristol. A tad far! Have a blast and donβt forget team pics. πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈππ
All my runs felt toxic for about 2 weeks. Then the weather turned wet, I had more days off and yesterday's 10km was fine. I think extra rest helped me. I'd also been feeling starving for bad carb laden food and I indulged a bit. Maybe I just needed some calories...?! Your splits are very fine and your pace is ace!
Wow Katnap, exhibition standard negative splits and your first km was about the same speed as my fastest ones! You are so fast even if it wasnβt a PB. Far better to enjoy it and go a bit slower anyway. I would have loved to join Team Baddie but itβs a bit far. Instead I will join you in the virtual world as a tourist at Market Rasen, then off to the Peak District in the campervan to cheer Oldfloss over the line!
It's great that PB's keep happening for you Katnap. I reckon course PBs are more relevant than overall one's as they are like for like tests? That said, they have to come to end at some point....otherwise you will have to complete your runs before you start them....which is a tough ask!!π
