Evening fellow running bugs!
I should have posted this hours ago, but, well, I didn't
As I was working yesterday, and am still trying to leave a day between runs, I thought I may as well do the Marple Parkrun as my run for the day. So off I toddled this morning, and arrived nice and early, which gave plenty of time for warmup walking and running and then a few stretches pre-run.
Despite my best intentions, I still set off too fast somehow, even though I was running to a fixed-tempo track of some sort, and sure enough at about 3k I was running out of steam, as per usual for me!
So - I did the sensible thing for once, and dropped the pace for a few minutes, and I think it worked. Still didn't make the holy grail of 30 minutes, but my official parkrun time was 32:40, not quite a PB for a 5K, but definitely a PB for the parkrun. I'm happy with that
So there we go. Another 5k in the bank of runs. It's all part of the plan! Not quite sure what the plan is, but it's definitely part of it
Run safe folks, and have fun!
