I’ve been feeling like a wet rag for a couple of weeks. Last night I had a lovely big dinner and I slept 10 hrs.
This morning I faffed , then put my running gear on, did a 2km warm up then jogged down a short, steep hill, than ran back up it...4 times. I was aiming for 5 times but being nice to myself, and totally whacked, I 🐌🐌🐌 to a round 3km then walked home and had bacon 🥓 , egg 🍳 and tomato 🍅 for brunch. Half way round today’s 2km I made it up a hill I failed on last week, so feeling good about that. I’m wondering if I was fighting off the cold that my friend had, but I think my sore throat was a burn from slurping a scalding hot drink 🥺... anyway, hoping to feel less exhausted next week.

Lorks, cannot remember the last time I slept more than 8 hours! You must have needed that! Well done 👏👏👏 on the hill repeats. Something I have yet to try...you are a brave wee soul!
I was an exhausted wee soul. Hoping to get to be a fit wee soul . More hills required! I just couldn't face 5 times! As I get fitter I hope I will be able to do 5 reps...?!
Wow! Great job on the hill repeats. That is great work. Sounds like your body needed some much needed zzzzz's (10 hours! I'm in awe). Here's looking toward a rejuvenated week next week.
Wow @ hills! Thats impressive - I mean I can down a huge brunch without that effort haha! Seriously tho that is good, you clearly needed the rest as well. Hope next weeks better for you
I'm rubbish at them too. It was only a short hill, but a steep one. It has to lead to some improvement to tackle it. I've done it before, but I hope to do it weekly for a bit 😬
👍😀 There is a steep hill on my favourite route but unfortunately I have to run up it on the return leg of my run, meaning that I'm just too tired. Might try it though. I have heard that "back stitching" is a good ploy. Run up 2 lengths, run back down 1, run up 2 lengths, run down 1, and so on. It could work. 😀
