Been nursing a slightly grumbly knee for a while, but it’s generally been fine if I don’t stray far beyond 10k.

Found myself on a lane in the middle of nowhere today, about the furthest point from home, when it finally gave up. Slight grumble became full on pain, and when I walked for a bit I found I just couldn’t run again.

Rescue call put in and other half drove out to pick me up (with kids in tow). Youngest offered to put me in the recovery position - he learnt first aid at Beavers recently 😀

The good news is I probably needed something like this to push me to get it sorted. Physio booked for next week so hopefully a temporary setback. Should definitely have got it looked at earlier 😀

Thanks. Person I’m going to comes highly recommended so I’m hopeful. I’ve had knee pain before and I can usually run again a few days later but common sense has prevailed. Will keep happening if I don’t get it looked at properly 😀

Good luck with your physio appointment Tony. Expert advice is definitely worth the money. Hope you are soon running again. 🏃‍♂️

Thanks Dexy. Yes should probably have done it sooner.

Thanks. So embarrassing having to phone for help, but would have been a long walk home.

The sensible option so you didn't cause extra damage to that precious knee. I know you've got 2 but you (k)need the both!

Thanks. It’s definitely a lesson in getting things looked at early. I know from past experience I can probably still do 5k regularly with no fuss but if I don’t get it looked at I’m not going much further.

Keep us posted. I saw a physio the other week and got the ok... But it's still niggly 🤔
