Well, I've been struggling between (still!!) achey foot and a natural aversion to the cold, so I haven't been out since my parkrun 2 weeks ago. But, my c25k friend was looking for company, the day was beautiful, so off we went. The ground was a track designed for mobility carts, so it's pretty good to run on normally. A bit trickier today, because last week's snow had turned to mud and then frozen. Luckily, although the sun was on it, it was still frozen when we ran. We just had to avoid those icy puddles.
I jogged alongside until she got to the walking section, then I carried on running and turned around and joined her again on the way back. Lots of lovely views across the valley through the trees. Weekday walkers nodded cheery hellos (not always the case, the sun has cheered everybody up!)
Nice little 3.7k, in 26 minutes, so not breaking any records, but we made it out and back in one piece, and it really lifted the spirits. The hot chocolate at the end may have helped
Would have loved to add a photo, but computer says no
Sorry,
Couchpotato2 no photo, but thanks for the company.
