I can't take credit for this, it was posted somewhere here some years ago and I bookmarked it because I thought it was really encouraging. It cheered me up and made me realise I am not doing so bad for a 61 year old as I thought I was so I thought it worthy of a repost:
Column 1 is age, Col 2 is the age-graded (adjusted) time of a 5k run in 30mins, Col 3 is the actual time you should be aiming for to achieve an age-graded equivalent 30 min 5k.

Thanks for this. It’s given me a goal now. Only a couple of minutes off for my age then. As I’m new to running but still getting PBs st Parkrun I think I can do that. 😊
Thanks for this. I understand columns 1 and 3 and am happy as a 57yr old running 5k in about 33mins I’m good for my age but I don’t understand column 2. Please can you explain - sorry to be a bit dim - I blame the running 😂😂
Thank you 🙏. I think I understand. I think it means if I were a young whippersnapper my time would be better than 30 mins for 5k 😊. I’m happy with that.
It’s cheered me up. Thank you. Suffering with a horrible cold less than 2 weeks before my first official 10k race so reigning in the training for a few days (never fun for us runners 😉) hoping I can knock it out of my system.
