I think none of our HU runners are running this year (?), but in our household, it has been such fun having the TV coverage on in the past, I’ll be wanting to watch it in parts at least.
I am also scheduled to row with an online group of rowers on that morning, joined through a virtual rowing app, so I’ll be setting up my iPhone and IPad as well, to row and watch the marathon during my 60min row.
So this will be the first time for me rowing during the marathon coverage, but thought it would be a fitting and motivating stream to watch whilst I put my oar-strokes in. Rowing inside can be a tad more boring than running outside, as you are just standing still, so having an exciting race accompanying you seems perfect.
And as it will be my running-recovery day, I will not even feel guilty seeing all those runners put those miles in, as by then I will have a 6.2k under my belt, run the day before.
And that’s what I am about to head out to just now, my 6.2k long run of the week. Might not quite feel like a marathon, but it’s my longest run of my plan so far.
Happy running, watching and working out, everyone!
