Switchback hilly route

Nice hilly 4.5km this morning in mizzly rain. I had an adventure when I took a previously unexplored bridleway and landed up in Cornwell estate, which is a farm and a couple of cottages in the middle of nowhere. Wearing my lucky dragon scale leggings today. Apologies to anyone already having seen this on Strava or other groups.

At a quick glance I thought you'd run to Cornwall FlickM3! That sounds like a nice run away from the roads and traffic. Do your leggings come out in strict rotation or do you choose each day?

in reply to Dexy5

Haha yes, that would be one helluva run 😂

I choose every day. Sometimes I need warmer leggings and sometimes I want to wear a patterned warm top so need - gasp - plain black leggings (can’t mix different patterns even though you can’t see my top because I’m wearing a running jacket 😊) all this, of course, is hilarious because my everyday clothes are boring jeans or leggings with plain sweaters, and I would t have been seen dead in lycra pre running days and didn’t wear it to run in my teens xx

I was given a pair by my niece at Christmas. Not bright colours, but patterned all the same. They are Ronhill which seem to be the right length for me, compared to others which need turning up. I don’t feel the cold in my legs so much but I had my warmer top on today as well as my rain jacket to stop the wind going through.

Happy running

in reply to Dexy5

I like Ronhill stuff. Sturdy by Design does different lengths in leggings and capris, short, medium and tall. Happy running back at ya x 😊🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️

Amazing leggings! Love them! What great scenery today - sounds like a fab run :)

in reply to Equi-geek

It was. It left me buzzing. Strangely I think it was the hills. That route was very steep and hilly and it seemed to get my system working.

Those are mighty fine leggings.... 😀. It made me giggle that they are your lucky ones. I have only 2 pairs... still such a newbie and in very dull colours too. May need to embrace my inner runner soon and go bright and bold.

in reply to Wimborne

Bright and bold is the way to go! It definitely encourages me to run 😂

Loving the leggings Flick 😊

And you can't beat finding new places to run - it keeps it all fresh and exciting!

in reply to Tartancat

Absolutely . I love that sense of adventure in exploring new off road places. I’m terrible for getting lured by new footpaths and only looking at a map when I get home. I got totally lost in the summer and ended up going 12km in the heatwave, finding myself on a busy main road with no verges at one point

I saw your leggings photo and showed it to someone who was also doing parkrun tourism.

At first she asked if they were mine. I said no. She replied of course! You must've left your unicorn one's at home today 😁

...sigh

in reply to Katnap

Lol!

Unicorns, BTW, immediately say Tikiboo to me.

I love your leggings Flick (& fab shoes btw 😉!). Mine, like Dexy’s, are Ron Hill (although for some reason they are two different lengths even though they are supposed to be the same!). Unlike Dexy, I get cold legs, so they are nice and snug for this time of year. Maybe I’ll treat myself when it starts getting warmer again. And maybe Katnap and I can have matching Unicorns...😁.

Fab run!

in reply to TailChaser

Thank you 😊 the shoes are my birthday ones, same as the blue ones I already have.

Matching unicorns sounds just the ticket 🦄
