Last year, after recovering from major surgery I completed couch to 5k and ran my first Parkrun in June.
6 months on and I’ve completed my 19th Parkrun this weekend, have consistently knocked time off my PB and now signed up for my first 10K in June this year!
What is the best app to use for training from 5k-10K please? Or any other advice will be great fully received.
I can recommend ju_ju_’s magic plan which is due to start on 11 January. Ju_ju_ put a post out a few days ago so do check it out. It’s an 8 week programme and it works. It includes a 5k run every week so you can still do parkrun 😀
Ju-Ju. See her inspirational, leading from the front weekly movie clips 💪👍😃🏃♀️🏃♂️🏅
ju-ju- ’s plan is fab. Lots of us have done it x
I'm another Ju-Ju advocate. Everyone I know who's done the plan has succeeded and loved it. It's strange not having someone in your ear like the app, but also quite freeing and it sets you up for how your future running might be. You can use the stepping stone podcasts during your training, I had done them in-between so would occasionally bolster one of my training runs with one, something to focus on, but I didn't need it per se.
Whatever you do, I'm sure you'll love it, I'm afraid you may already be hooked!
