Today was the 1st proper run of the year. My wife started c25k last Sunday so I’ve been supporting her by starting wk1 and doing the runs with her. So with just 2 days left before I return to work I decided to get the blood pumping and go for a proper run. To be honest i think the 2 week gap had taken it’s toll on me as I found this run very hard and had lost some time on my last couple of runs. So need to lose some of my Xmas weight and get my legs moving faster anyway no pain no gain 💪🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️💪💪

Well done, reasonable time considering your Xmas weight, probably a sub 60 minutes next time.

Thanks that will be my aim to cut my time down over the next month or so

But still, that’s a pretty good time for 10k! Well done on getting out there. Don’t forget, some runs are just like that - don’t feel as good. But we stick with it for the brilliant ones, right? And good on your for supporting your wife on her C25K journey, good lad. 👍👏😁

Thanks to be honest I’ve found doing c25k wk1 harder then actually running 10k. I think it’s because you can’t get into a set pace as you keep having to stop and walk but I don’t mind as I hope 🤞 that this time next year it will be me and my wife’s 1st 10k of the year🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🤞

Fantastic NSBD! I’d take that time any day of the week!!

And brilliant supporting your wife too. I bet it’s tricky going back through C25K now - rather like how we all felt doing W6 after the euphoria of the 20 minuter of W5R3 - no rhythm! 🏃‍♀️🏃👍

Well done Notsobigdoug ...that’s a very respectable time given the time of year! You’ll shave that down in no time when you get back into the swing of it....some runs are a bit meh...but that’s normal. What a great hubby you are too, supporting your wife is lovely 😊

That's not a bad time after all the excesses of Christmas. And how lovely of you to be doing C25K week 1 with your wife. I'm sure she really appreciates it.
