So I did 10k today! Woo hoo. The plan was to run the 1st 30mins with the wife because she was only on c25k wk9.3! Graduation run. Then when she finished I carried on with the intention of running until I completed the 10k distance. So we started on her favourite route which is just about 2k long. She runs to the end of this path and then turns around and runs back to the start. In 30 mins she has never got all the way back to the start cos the return leg is more uphill and therefore slower. Today she got to the turn in 14 mins. Wow! So we actually covered 4.2 k in 30mins which meant several pbs for her again. Awesome. So this meant I had 5.8k to go to achieve my target. I took off on my own and Jackie headed home on her cool down walk. I was feeling great and wondered if I could complete the rest of the 10k in 30 mins which would be a full 10k in an hour. A bit of a challenge but not impossible. I gave it my best shot trying not to go to fast too soon as the route I had planned had a couple of uphill sections near the end. I needed to average 5mins 10 secs per kilometre to do it. So did I do it you might ask? Yes I did! So chuffed with that for a 1st attempt and I am pleased to say that I wasn't totally exhausted at the end. Happy days

Thatโ€™s ace.

Iโ€™m in week 9 of my C25K then plan to push on to 10K as I have a charity one to do beginning of June.

I have looked at jujus plan and it looks good. Iโ€™ll miss an app though As Iโ€™m used to Michael telling me I have 5 mins to go !
