Paul have a look at this, it’s from the FAQ off here
I thought it might give you a bit off variety,
It’s a lot to take in, I keep going back to it and trying the different runs, the interval runs are ideal for treadmill
it calculates your slow running speed for adding distance and they reckon 90% of our runs should be at a slower pace to build stamina and speed,
I love a stat yours are hard work as you are running mph on the treadmill, does the treadmill adjust to km/ph ?
It needs a race distance and time at top to calculate
You are doing 5.1 mph on treadmill?
The calculates to a 5 km run tiime of 36 mins 33 seconds (good starting point) your long run time calculated back from mins per km, is as slow as 3.9 mph on the treadmill, try it on the treadmill, bet you find it boring,
it’s just as hard to run slow outside, I have to really concentrate to stay slow but have used it to build distance, I am at 9.5 km I still feel a bit of a nob though when a seasoned runner on a fast. Run goes zooming past me
thank you for that its just not knowing which is the best way forward everyone is different but i know when i get outside i will like it better it all sounds hard but the c25k did and look at me now so i will plod on till i get there and thanks for your advice
You do what you feel comfortable with Paul 👍
Plodding on is just lovely. I love slow runs, they’re divine I do mine outside as I love the freedom and traffic free trails and footpaths. There’s always something fresh to see too. Seeking out new routes is fun. I have to know where paths lead 😃.
More fun in better weather I grant you, but I’ve got used to crap weather now I have to go out with the dog anyways 🙂
